The Department of Tamil which was started during the year 2001-2002 is functioning with efficient Professors and some of them are Ph.D holders.Noorul Islam College of Arts & Science Tamil mandram was started by this department It invites good speakers and prominent writers to give lecturers on literary topics. Every year students from all Higher Secondary Schools in this district are invited for various competitions on Art and Literature are many prizes are distributed.
The leadership ability of our students is tapped with through elocution writing ability and ability to enact situations. Special coaching is being given to students for this. Moreover students are diligently and specially prepared to compete in art and literature competitions at University level and district level.
